Following the successful deployment of hundreds of Skittles smart vending machines across North America, Mars Wrigley (owner of both Skittles & M&Ms brands) wanted to adapt the machines to dispense M&Ms.
Once again, Design to Production engaged Concept Evolution as their design partner to work closely with their team and modify the machines to suit this new product.
Due to differences in product size and consistency, we developed custom dispensing mechanisms, modified the internal structure of the machines for enhanced thermal management, and updated the external lightbox and graphic panels to create a machine that was fully adapted to the M&Ms brand.
